Gayatri Tambe-Deshpande's artistic practice is an exploration of the inner landscape—where memory, emotion, nature, and intuition converge. Biography
Gayatri Tambe-Deshpande (b. 1975, Nagpur) is a contemporary Indian artist based in Pune. A graduate of Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalaya, Pune, she has devoted over twenty-five years to her practice as an artist, educator, and writer. After balancing her artistic aspirations with a career in teaching and family life, she returned to painting with renewed conviction, establishing a distinctive visual language rooted in abstraction and emotional expression.
Her works have been exhibited extensively at leading galleries including Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai, PNG Art Gallery, Pune, Art Route Gallery, Delhi, Monalisa Kalagram, and
Stainless Art Gallery, Delhi, among others. Her paintings are part of private collections in India and overseas, reflecting a practice that continues to evolve while remaining deeply personal.
